A 19-year-old resident of Umm al-Fahm, Abdel Rahman Mohammed Ibrahim Mahajna, was arrested for allegedly swearing allegiance to ISIS and planning to carry out terrorist activities.

Mahajna, an Israeli citizen, was apprehended for questioning regarding his intentions to execute acts of terror in the name of the Islamic State.

During the investigation, authorities discovered that he had pledged allegiance to ISIS multiple times over the past few months, including affirmations to the current Caliph. Mahajna also participated in the riots that erupted during Operation Guardian of the Walls in May 2021.

Additionally, investigators uncovered documents in his possession that contained instructions for making explosives and bombs. They also found a will he had prepared a year prior, in which he expressed his desire to die as a martyr and conveyed his farewells to his family.

On Tuesday, the Haifa District Attorney's Office filed a serious indictment against Mahajna.
