Dramatic report: Israel is on the way to a ceasefire in the north

Reports indicate that Israel is trying to reach an agreement with the Americans, whereby it will cease ground manoeuvres in Lebanon and in return, they will support a maritime, land, and air embargo on Lebanon. For all the details, see below.

While the IDF continues to fight in southern Lebanon and Hamas rejected the ceasefire proposal in exchange for the release of hostages, Channel 12 reported that Israel is trying to reach a package deal with the Americans, whereby in exchange for cancelling the expansion of ground operations in Lebanon, the U.S. would support a maritime, land, and air embargo on Lebanon, preventing the military rehabilitation and armament of Hezbollah.

According to the report brought by Yaron Avraham, the negotiations for the deal are being led by the Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer, with National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan. In Dermer's office, after a day's delay from the moment the response was requested, they asked not to comment on the matter.

Additionally, Israel demands and intends to insist on this as a condition, that in any violation, it will have the ability and freedom to attack from anywhere.

It was also reported that the negotiations the Americans are trying to bring to fruition include a 60-day ceasefire, during which the details of the full agreement, enforcement mechanisms, and necessary international decisions will be finalized to create a new order that will be more effective than the previous Resolution 1701, which was trampled shortly after it was established.
