An Israeli Arab doctor, Batla Falah, caused a stir after a story she posted on her Instagram account praised the fall in Gaza of Colonel Ehsan Daxa, whom she called a "criminal."
Falah, an Israeli-licensed doctor who previously worked at Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer, wrote in a post hours after the officer's fall: "The resistance takes revenge, this will be the fate of every criminal."
The commander of the 401st Armored Brigade, Colonel Ehsan Daxa, fell yesterday in battle in the Gaza Strip. The head of the Daliyat al-Carmel council eulogized him: "A hero, brave, a fighter who became a legend, a humble man who fought since the beginning of the war."
This is not the first time that Israeli Arab doctors have been caught expressing hatred towards Jews during the current war. About three months ago, Muhammad Azzam, 34, a resident of Beersheba who serves as a medical intern at Soroka Medical Center, was arrested after pledging allegiance to ISIS.
