There is grave concern in the US security establishment that the global terrorist organization ISIS will try to carry out attacks on the day of the US presidential election on November 5, in just two weeks, the British newspaper The Guardian reported on Sunday.

On Tuesday, in about two weeks, Republican Representative Donald Trump will face Kamala Harris, the Democratic Party, in a dramatic battle for the presidential or presidential seat in the White House. According to the polls, the race between the candidates is very close with a very slight advantage for Harris – but this advantage reflects nothing and is within the statistical margin of error.

In recent weeks, the FBI arrested an Afghan man, Nasir Ahmed Teohdi, 27, of Oklahoma City, who was planning a shooting attack on Election Day. Teohdi admitted to federal investigators that he, along with another aide, expected to die as "martyrs" for ISIS and open fire on masses of voters at polling stations in the presidential election.

According to the Guardian, dire warnings of ISIS-sponsored or inspired attacks by other terrorist organizations in the United States have intensified in the US security establishment in recent weeks. U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland noted during Teohedi's hearing that there is a growing need to "combat the ongoing threat that ISIS and its supporters pose to America's national security."
