Sergeants Ofir Berkovich and Elishai Young fell in battle in Gaza today (Shabbat)

The number of fallen IDF soldiers in Israel's ground offensive against Hamas in Gaza and in military operations along the border with the Strip now stands at 357.

Sergeant Ofir Berkovich, 20 years old, from Modiin, fell in battle in the north of the Gaza Strip.

Sergeant Elishai Young (19) also fell in battle in the north of the Gaza Strip today.

Both Berkovich and Young served with the 401st Armored Brigade’s 52nd Battalion.

In the incident in which Sgt. Ofir Berkovitch and Sgt. Elishai Young fell, a combat officer from the same unit was seriously injured.

In addition, an officer with the 188th Armored Brigade’s 53rd Battalion was seriously wounded earlier today by an explosive-laden drone in southern Lebanon, as reported by the Times of Israel.
