Australia tells its citizens "Don't go to Israel, and if you are already there, get out before things get bad"

The Australian government also said that it is “appalled by the unacceptable deaths of innocent civilians as a result of Israel’s operations in Gaza. This cannot continue."

The Australian government is calling on its citizens to leave Israel immediately due to "serious concerns that the security situation in Israel and the 'Occupied Palestinian territories' may deteriorate rapidly", as Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong wrote on X.

Also, the travel advisory to Israel was raised to the highest level. The advisory stated that "The threat of military attacks and terrorism against israelis and Israeli interest remains high."

This move follows a smiler move by China at the end of September, when it called on its citizens to leave or move to a safer place immediately following the escalation with Hezbollah.

In addition, Australia decided to impose targeted financial sanctions and travel bans on five Iranians who are significant contributors to Iran's missile program. The sanctions targeted two directors and a senior official in Iran's Aerospace Industries Organization, the director of the Shahid Bagheri Industrial Group and a director of the Shahid Hemmat Industrial Group. including two directors and a senior member of the country's air industries, as reported by The Canberra Times.
