US Border Patrol endorses Trump for President

In an election driven by fears of illegal immigration, Trump has clinched a key endorsement of his support for a much harder line.

Former President and current Republican nominee Donald Trump just received an important endorsement today (Monday), with the US Border Patrol officially supporting him for President of the United States.

Trump has leaned into hardline immigration policies just as he did during 2016, running ads about an "invasion" of illegal entrants and playing up cases of criminals entering the country illegally.

Polls throughout the election campaign have consistently pointed to immigration as the second most important issue on the minds of voters, behind the economy and economy related matters such as inflation.
