A particularly intense barrage of rockets hit northern region this afternoon (Wednesday); dozens of interceptions were recorded in the northern Sea of Galilee, the Western Galilee, Safed, Hazor, Rosh Pina.
Channel 14's northern correspondent Ati Shalev says that this is one of the heaviest barrages since the beginning of the war. Reports were received of several crash sites as a result of the launches.
Earlier today, a couple in their 40s were murdered as a result of shrapnel due to a barrage towards Kiryat Shmona. The IDF Spokesperson said that about 20 launches were identified in the barrage towards the city. Apparently, the victims were walking their dogs and did not manage to reach the protected area.
The police called on the public to "refrain from reaching the scenes, and avoid approaching or touching remnants of rockets that may contain explosives, and to report this without delay to the 100 hotline." Police and sappers of the Northern District have arrived at the sites of the landing and are working to remove a risk to the public.
