Bolivia joined South Africa's case against Israel alleging "genocide" in Gaza in the International Court of Justice in the Hague yesterday (Wednesday), according to the court.

Bolivia thus joins with Nicaragua, Columbia, Libya, Mexico, Spain, Turkey, Chile, and the Maldives in joining with South Africa in demanding the ICJ order a halt to the war in Gaza, an order which is non-binding but which would cause Israel significant diplomatic headaches.

South Africa has had trouble procuring evidence that Israel is indeed committing genocide in Gaza and had asked the court for a continuance to gather more proof. The court rejected this request and South Africa must now procure all its evidence by the original deadline of October 28.
