Cleared for Publication: 2 Soldiers Killed by UAV Strike in Yara

It has been cleared for publication that two IDF soldiers were killed by a UAV strike in the settlement of Yara: Nael Fwarsy from Maghar, and Tomer Keren from Haifa. In the incident, another soldier was seriously injured and evacuated to the hospital.

Israel at War: It has been cleared for publication that two soldiers were killed this morning (Thursday) by a UAV strike in the settlement of Yara: Major (res.) Nael Fwarsy, 43, from Maghar, and Sergeant Tomer Keren, 20, from Haifa. Fwarsy was the commander of the headquarters company in the 'Herev' Battalion (299), 'Baram Brigade' (300), of the Logistics Corps. Keren was a soldier in Battalion 51 of the Golani Brigade.

It was also reported that a soldier from Battalion 51, Golani Brigade, was seriously injured in the incident. The soldier was evacuated for medical treatment at the hospital, and his family has been updated.

As reported, around 11:30 AM, a Hezbollah explosive UAV hit the area of Yara settlement, in the western sector of the northern border. The IDF spokesperson stated that no impacts were identified within the settlement itself.

Earlier, at least 8 people were injured by the firing of 2 anti-tank missiles towards the Ramim Ridge area in the eastern sector - near Kiryat Shmona. Rambam Hospital updated this morning that two injured from the anti-tank fire were evacuated by helicopter to the hospital. The hospital reported that the two injured are in moderate condition, one of them was taken to the operating room while the other is hospitalized in the shock department, in a less severe condition.

4 additional injured were evacuated to Rebecca Sieff Hospital in Safed, where it was reported that 3 are in light condition and one in moderate condition.
