Do Israelis even want to go to war in the north right now?

Channel 14 just did a poll to see whether Israelis consider the current moment an opportunity to hit Hezbollah with a general war - or something to avoid.

The government has approved preparing for and even launching a war, the IDF is approving plans for it - but is the Israeli public interested in going to war with Hezbollah, even now?

A poll commissioned by Channel 14 suggests this is the case, and that Israelis think this is an opportune time to strike, while Hezbollah is still reeling from the massive number of casualties from the explosion of their pagers and walkie talkies earlier in the week.

Responding to the question "after the beeper attack, does Israel need to set out on a general campaign and occupy southern Lebanon?" fully 71% said yes, 22% said no, and the rest had no opinion either way.
