The United States and United Kingdom believe Russia will provide Iran with critical knowledge on how to complete working nuclear weapons in exchange for the missiles Iran sent Russia, according to a report by Bloomberg.
In a meeting between Prime Minister Kierr Starmer and President Joe Biden, the two considered this development to be "worrying" and an escalation of ties between the two countries.
Iran had previously supplied Russia with thousands of suicide drones which Russia then used against Ukraine in its ongoing war there.
The United States, as well as Britain, Germany, and France announced sanctions against Iran, including Iran Air, for the delivery of offensive missiles to Russia, a claim Iran denounced and denied.
An Iranian parliamentarian had previously suggested the missiles were being exchanged for soy and wheat, but the Bloomberg report suggests Iran is getting something far more valuable.
