National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir attended a Supreme Court deliberation held today (Wednesday) on the appeal filed against him by MK Ahmed Tibi, due to the minister's decision to deny him the right to meet with terrorist Marwan Barghouti in prison.
"Tibi wanted to meet with his partner with Jewish blood on his hands"
Minister Ben Gvir spoke at the start of the discussion, saying: "It is sad that on the day that we ae burying soldiers, we need to deal with an appeal of a Knesset Member in the State of Israel, who receives money from our salary, and he wants to meet and speak with his partner - Marwan Barghouti, a murderer, whose hands have Jewish blood. This is shameful, this is a disgrace."
Ben Gvir added: "I want to say this simply: I am the political leadership, I stated that they can't meet, and I stand behind that decision."
It should be noted that the Prison Service also supports Ben Gvir's decision to deny the MK the ability to visit the arch-terrorist Barghouti.
