BREAKING: Ramming Attack at Givat Asaf Junction, one person critically injured

Firefighters tackle dual threat after hazardous materials truck rams a pedestrian in a terror attack.

A ramming attack occurred at Givat Asaf junction in the Benjamin region today (Wednesday), involving a truck carrying hazardous materials, according to Israel Fire and Rescue Services.

Deputy Chief Roni Yaakov, commander of the Matityahu station, reported that firefighters from the Benjamin regional station are currently on the scene. They are working to isolate the area and ensure the safety of security forces operating at the site.

"We are prepared for any scenario given the presence of hazardous materials," Yaakov stated. Although the full nature and extent of casualties are not yet clear, it has been confirmed that one young person was critically injured in the attack.

Security sources have confirmed the incident as a deliberate attack. The involvement of a hazardous materials truck has raised additional concerns, prompting specialized containment procedures.

IDF forces neutralized the terrorist.
