According to YWN, upon investigating the scene, authorities discovered the explosive device, which was equipped with a small camera. This camera was used to stream live footage of the area to the terrorists, who were monitoring from a distance, waiting for the optimal moment to detonate the bomb—when a school bus full of students would be passing by.
Officials believe the terrorists planned to detonate the bomb when the yishuv's school bus was about to pass the front gate, aiming to inflict the maximum number of casualties.
As of Tuesday morning, IDF forces are actively searching for the terrorists. On Monday afternoon, police and military sappers safely detonated the car in a controlled explosion.
