"By his army's bullets": Hamas claims IDF responsible for hostage deaths

In an official statement in response to the killing of six hostages last week and the recovery of their bodies, Hamas blamed the IDF for their deaths, first claiming an airstrike and then IDF gunfire killed them.

Responding to the outrage at the murder of six hostages and the extraction of their bodies over the weekend, Hamas released a statement today (Sunday) blaming Netanyahu for their deaths, not only for allegedly torpedoing the hostage deal but also for killing the hostages themselves "with his army's bullets."

Hamas had previously blamed the deaths of the hostages on an IDF airstrike, and has so far refused to take any responsibility for the hostages' murder.
