Israel Beytenu party chairman and former Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman sharply criticized the IDF's decision to appoint a "humanitarian-civilian coordinator" for the Gaza Strip today (Wednesday) in a post he wrote on X.

Liberman said that "it's not our job to see to the humanitarian-civilian effort in Gaza, in the face of those who cruelly murdered and kidnapped our sons and daughters."

He went on to criticize the security establishment for this mindset: "The defense establishment is stuck in October 6, and continues the same policy of giving the other cheek, with the government's approval."

Liberman then said that "the only arrangement that needs to be with Gaza - stopping all humanitarian aid delivery, equipment, fuel, electricity, and water, and retaining operational freedom for the IDF in order to prevent renewed military buildup."
