Gaza Prisoner exchange, Hostage deal with Hamas

Report: Hamas Demands Release of 300 Life sentence Prisoners

According to a report, under the American proposal, Hamas is expected to present a list of 300 prisoners serving life sentences, and Israel will have the right to oppose 65 of these names.

A Palestinian source told Al-Mayadeen network that, according to the American proposal, Hamas should submit a list of 300 terrorists serving life sentences, and Israel will have the right to object to 65 of them. The source added that Israel will have the right to veto a total of 100 names, as reported by Israel Hayom.

Correspondent Itamar Eichner reported that a source familiar with the negotiations for the hostage deal and the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip said, "These are very critical hours. The Philadelphi story is still open." The source added, "Israel is willing to reduce forces, but the Egyptians and Palestinians insist on a full withdrawal. Netanyahu is not ready to compromise."

It is worth noting that last night, before the return of the Israeli delegation was reported, we published additional details about the American proposal, which will initially include the release of hostages, including those held for the longest time, such as Avrah Mangisto and Hisham al-Said, in the first phase.

In return, Israel will release 47 prisoners who were freed during the Shalit deal but were re-incarcerated over the years due to additional terror activities committed after their release.
