In an unprecedented move, the IDF has issued a comprehensive travel ban for its personnel to Georgia and Azerbaijan, countries known for their significant Iranian presence. This decision comes amid growing concerns over potential Iranian retaliatory actions against Israeli targets.

According to a report by Kan News, all IDF personnel, including both active-duty soldiers and career officers currently in these countries, have been ordered to return to Israel immediately.

The IDF's decision is largely influenced by the geographical proximity of these nations to Iran, with Azerbaijan sharing a direct border with the Islamic Republic. Both countries have substantial Iranian populations, potentially increasing the risk to Israeli military personnel.

Despite recent reports suggesting imminent Iranian plans to attack Israel directly, an IDF spokesperson emphasized that there has been no change to the current defense protocols. "Following recent reports regarding Iran's intentions, we clarify that at this stage, there are no changes to the Home Front Command's guidelines," the spokesperson stated.

The statement continued, "The IDF and the defense establishment are closely monitoring our adversaries and regional developments, particularly concerning Iran and Hezbollah, and are conducting ongoing situational assessments. IDF forces remain deployed and maintain a high state of readiness."

The IDF assured the public that any necessary changes to existing guidelines would be communicated promptly through official channels.
