Cleared for publication: Sergeant Omer Ginzburg fell in Gaza 

IDF Spokesperson confirms Sergeant Omer Ginzburg from Kiryat Tiv'on, serving in the 101st Paratroopers Battalion, was killed in action in southern Gaza Strip.

The IDF Spokesperson's Unit announced on Monday morning that Sergeant Omer Ginzburg, 19, from Kiryat Tiv'on and a member of the 101st Battalion, Paratroopers Brigade, was killed in combat on Sunday in the southern Gaza Strip.

With Sergeant Ginzburg's death, the total number of IDF soldiers fallen since the beginning of the war has risen to 690.

On Sunday morning, IDF forces detected a terrorist cell emerging from a tunnel shaft in the Rafah area. The Israel Air Force (IAF) conducted an airstrike, successfully eliminating the terrorists.

Additionally, another terrorist cell was identified entering a military structure adjacent to IDF positions. This cell was also struck in a coordinated effort with the IAF.
