The steps include the ending of the status of Norway as a third party for confiscated tax money and the revoking of diplomatic status for some of its officials.

Over the last few days, Foreign Minister Israel Katz has been imposing a number of sanctions against Norway for recognizing a Palestinian state a few months ago, according to reporting by Ynet.

The first sanction is the ending of the escrow agreement with Norway, whereby tax money Israel collects for the Palestinian Authority and which is meant for the Hamas-led Gaza Strip is held by Norway for safe keeping.

The second sanction is the revoking of diplomatic status from eight Norwegian diplomatic officials who were working solely with the Palestinians.

The Norwegian government called the move "extreme" and said that it would primarily harm their ability to help the Palestinian population.
