On Monday, Israel’s Dog Unit (IDU) teamed up with the IDF and Israel Police in an intensified search for 10-year-old Haymanot Kasau, missing since February.

Haymanot, who moved from Ethiopia to Israel with her family and lived in a Safed absorption center, was last captured on security footage at the center’s entrance, wearing a pink sweatshirt, black skirt, and white sneakers.

“We are not giving up—we are bringing Haymanot Kasau home,” the IDU stated on Facebook. “The mission is not yet complete; we remain fully committed to it.”

The search focused on a 500-meter radius around the area where Haymanot was last seen. The operation also saw participation from The Jewish Agency for Israel and numerous volunteers from various organizations.

The IDU, a civilian group specializing in locating missing persons, provided crucial support with security, rescue, and rehabilitation dogs during the search.
