With multiple reports of a coming attack by Iran, Hezbollah, and other Iranian proxies in retaliation for the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, many Israelis are increasing their purchases of what they consider necessary goods to help ride out the storm.

The Wolt delivery company recently published its sales data from recent days, and what it shows about Israeli consumer habits right now might surprise you.

Alongside orders from multiple restaurants, there has been a 140% increase in purchases of canned vegetables and fish, with tuna in oil topping the list, followed by canned corn and pickles.

There has also been a 50% increase in purchases of water bottles and toilet paper, 260% in ice cream purchases, a 20% increase in candy and chocolate purchases, with a 46% increase in salty snacks, especially Bamba.

A significant increase was also registered in baby products, especially formula and diapers. There has also been a 140% increase in battery purchases and a 35% increase in first aid equipment.

A 40% increase in purchases natural anti-anxiety products and a 30% increase in purchases of off the counter medicine. Since Israelis expect to possibly be inside for a few days while sheltering from missiles, a 50% decrease in sunscreen was also registered.
