In a significant development that could escalate regional tensions even further, Pakistan has reportedly announced its intention to supply arms to Iran. This revelation came during an emergency meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Saudi Arabia, according to multiple Arab sources, and as reported by Maariv.

Key developments:

- Pakistan plans to provide Iran with Shaheen-III medium-range ballistic missiles if the conflict with Israel intensifies.

- The OIC emergency meeting, requested by Iran and Pakistan, focused on "the crimes of the Israeli occupation" and "the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh."

- U.S. officials report observing Iran moving missile launchers and conducting military exercises, suggesting preparations for a potential attack on Israel.

- An Iranian source suggests an attack could occur within the next 48 hours.

The OIC meeting in Jeddah brought together foreign ministers from 57 Islamic countries, including non-Arab nations like Iran, Pakistan, and Turkey. This broader representation distinguishes the OIC from the smaller Arab League.

Meanwhile, The New York Times reports that Russia has begun supplying Iran with advanced radar and air defense equipment, according to two Iranian sources, including a member of the Revolutionary Guards.

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated that Washington is engaged in "intense diplomacy, almost around the clock" to de-escalate tensions in the Middle East.
