In light of Iran's preparations for an attack, Osmani today (Monday) urged his country to assassinate Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in response to the killing of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran last week.

"Israel has crossed every possible boundary of arrogance," Osmani said in a speech to the parliament. "It dares to shed the blood of an honoured guest in Tehran. I am confident that Iran will choose the right time to avenge Haniyeh's death."

He further added, "I hope that another operation in the style of 'True Promise' (the name given in Iran to the missile and drone attack on Israel on April 14) will take place as revenge for the spilled blood. We will settle for nothing less than Netanyahu's assassination."

Meanwhile, Iranian Revolutionary Guards Commander Hossein Salami threatened today that "Israel will receive a crushing response for Haniyeh's assassination. When the Zionist entity is hit at the right place and time, it will understand that it made a miscalculation."
