Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has intensified his verbal assault on Israel, following his earlier threats of a possible invasion. In a fiery speech delivered in Ankara, Erdogan accused Israel of engaging in "acts of barbarism that will outshine" historical atrocities, comparing the situation in Gaza to "the world's largest concentration camp."
Erdogan criticized Western leaders and international organizations for their perceived inaction, stating, "Western leaders and organizations whose duty is to ensure international security have only watched this brutality from afar for almost 300 days."
He questioned, “How many more children need to die to see that Israel's invasive policies endanger the entire region? Look, this is not a path that can continue.”
In his rhetoric, Erdogan downplayed the recent Hezbollah rocket attack that killed 12 Druze children in northern Israel, instead focusing on his accusations against Israel. He claimed, “The lawless state of Israel is now a threat not only to Palestine and Lebanon but to all of humanity, the entire world.”
He further condemned Israel, saying, “The only country in the region that seeks security through aggression, slaughter, and land occupation is Israel - a country that behaves like a terrorist organization.”
