The name of the person killed in an early morning drone strike in Tel Aviv was released. Yevgeni Perder, 50 years old. Perder arrived from Belarus about two years ago and worked as a maintenance man at a hotel in Tel Aviv. May his memory be blessed.

Tonight at around 3:10 in Tel Aviv a loud explosion was heard in the centre of Tel Aviv, the sound of which reached as far as Rishon Lezion. The police received hundreds of complaints from citizens. At first the IDF denied that it was a UAV, but early in the morning it confirmed that it was an explosion of an aerial target that was not detected by the IDF's detection means.

At the scene on Shalom Aleichem Street, corner of Ben Yehuda in Tel Aviv, a 50-year-old man was found without signs of life. MDA medics and paramedics provided medical treatment and evacuated 8 victims to the Wolfson and Ichilov hospitals, including: 4 shrapnel injuries, and 4 anxiety victims.

Following the incident, IDF spokesman Brigadier General Daniel Hagari issued a special statement this morning.

Hagari said that "During the night, an unmanned aircraft came in from the sea from the west, which we believe was launched from Yemen and hit a building in the centre of Tel Aviv. During the incident, no warning was activated and we are still investigating the incident in depth.

According to him: "After a preliminary investigation that we carried out, it appears that it is an unmanned aircraft of the Simad 3 model, in our estimation it arrived from Yemen to Tel Aviv, which is an upgraded Iranian weapon."

"Iran supports and arms its affiliates in the region, as happened tonight. The threat of UAVs is a threat we have faced since the beginning of the war. So far dozens of drones have been launched from Yemen, most of them were intercepted by an American task force, the rest were intercepted by Air Force planes."
