Knesset Health Committee passes law enabling medical information to move with the patient

The law creates the regulatory framework for a patient to allow different health organizations and institutions to easily access their medical records.

The Health Ministry officially welcomed the decision of the Knesset Health Ministry to approve the Medical Information Mobility Law, 2024, today (Thursday) for a second and third vote in the Knesset.

The law, advanced by the Health Ministry, will create the regulatory framework allowing for different companies, clinics, and hospitals to more easily access a patient's medical information without the need for complicated procedures or bureaucracies.
