A soldier in his twenties, who served in the Kfir Brigade in the Gaza Strip, was arrested today (Tuesday) by the police on suspicion of murdering a Nukhba [elite Hamas unit] terrorist, as reported by Channel 12 News.

According to the publication, the fighter was arrested at his home and tomorrow he will be brought to a hearing regarding the extension of his detention. The suspect argued in his defense stating, "On October 7, my friends and I went down south. We saw a fierce battle that was going on between the Yamam fighters and the Nukhba terrorists. Unfortunately, some of our fighters were killed. We continued to fight and eliminate the terrorists." The investigator snapped at the fighter: "You yourself investigated a terrorist in the field, then shot him in the head. That's why you are suspected of murder." The soldier replied: "I did not kill any terrorist, but I eliminated the terrorists who were there and shot at us."
