Numerous more air strikes took place in Gaza over the past day, including on tunnels and gunmen's cells, according to the army. The attack came as troops continue to advance within Rafah, southern Gaza and the Necharim road in the central part.
The IDF said in Rafah that troops went to the Tel Sultan area and found weapons and rocket launchers used in previous attacks.

This activity comes amid rumours that the IDF chief reported soldiers are 'wrapping up' their military operation in Gaza with their major battle against Hamas supposedly close to its end.
