Ynet: Israel spending hundreds of millions to find solution to drone attacks

Possible approaches include improving Iron Dome defenses or improved cannons with better capabilities. Either way, defense officials warn there is no "hermetic" way to stop all drones.

With drone warfare heating up, especially in the north, and with multiple Hezbollah explosive drones wounding and killing Israelis, Israel has given a "blank check" to its defense industry to come up with solutions, according to Ynet.

Two main solutions are being looked at: an improvement in Iron Dome capabilities, and the reuse of anti-aircraft guns which have since been mothballed, with new technological capabilities.

Defense officials expect anti-drone defense to improve given these efforts, but since Hezbollah is known to have thousands of drones and anti-drone interceptions are expensive, they cautioned that there is no way to "hermetically" seal the border against them.
