Following reports that the IDF will be pausing the fighting in battlefields in southern Gaza, the IDF Spokesperson announced today (Sunday) that this is not accurate.
According to the spokesperson, fighting in the southern Gaza Strip, including in Rafah, is ongoing, and that the policy of introducing goods into the Strip remains unchanged.
The Spokesperson said the route used to deliver humanitarian aid, and only humanitarian aid, will be kept open in coordination with international organizations.
The IDF had previously posted on X that "To increase the volume of humanitarian aid entering Gaza and following additional related discussions with the U.N. and international organizations, a local, tactical pause of military activity for humanitarian purposes will take place from 08:00 until 19:00 every day until further notice along the road that leads from the Kerem Shalom Crossing to the Salah al-Din Road and then further north."
