After the brave operation last Saturday, in which four Israeli hostages were rescued from the Nuseirat refugee camp, it seems Hamas fears more operations in the future and is taking a cautious approach.

According to a report in the New York Times, based on Israeli officials' accounts, Hamas leaders has given strict orders to the organization's operatives holding hostages that if they think Israeli forces are coming, the first thing they should do is shoot the hostage.

Hamas now reportedly surrounds itself with a group of hostages making it difficult for Israel to reach them. The report also stated that Yahya Sinwar is now in Khan Yunis, after he had been hiding for some time in Rafah and that Israeli intelligence is unable to locate him.
