IDF releases recording suggesting Hamas ammunition dumps caused fatal fire in Rafah

The IDF investigation into the connection between the IDF strike and the fire in the humanitarian zone killing dozens of Palestinians is still ongoing.

The IDF revealed additional details of its investigation today (Tuesday) into the strike which killed senior Hamas leaders but also appears to have caused a fatal conflagration killing dozens of civilians.

The IDF says that the strike involved a fairly low-yield bomb meant to reduce collateral damage, and that it may well be that the strike inadvertantly struck Hamas ammunition and rockets, setting off secondary explosions leading to the fatal fire.
