In response to the decision of Norway, Ireland, and Spain to recognize a Palestinian state, Prime Minister Netanyahu issued a statement today (Wednesday) criticizing the decision and calling it a "a reward for terrorism."

Netanyahu noted that some 80% of Palestinians supported October 7 and that "This evil cannot be given a state. This would be a terrorist state. It will try to repeat the massacre of October 7 again and again; we will not consent to this."

He ended by saying that the recognition of a Palestinian state would neither bring peace nor stop Israel from defeating Hamas.
