During Memorial Day (Monday), government ministers and MKs arrived at military cemeteries throughout the country with the aim of sympathizing with bereaved families and taking part in the ceremonies.

In some places, ministers were greeted not only with shouts, but people insisting that they "get out." In Rehovot, Minister of Construction and Housing Yitzhak Goldknopf (United Torah Judaism) was subjected to chants of "shame, guilt" and more. At the cemetery in Netanya, Minister of Intelligence Gila Gamliel (Likud) was beseeched with shouts: "What are you doing here? Go home. Why were soldiers killed?"

During Defense Minister Yoav Gallant's speech, signs appeared reading: "Their blood is on your hands." At the end of Transportation Minister Miri Regev's speech in Holon, shouts of "Go home, you are a shame," were heard from the crowd.
