The Memorial Day for the Fallen Soldiers of the Wars of Israel and Victims of Terrorism was held last night (Sunday) at the Museum of Tolerance in Jerusalem in collaboration with the IDF Widows and Orphans Organization and the Jerusalem Post. The ceremony was held against the background of the war in Gaza and was intended to present the events of October 7th to Diaspora Jewry and the wider world.

Yossi Cohen, the former head of the Mossad, referred to the hostages held by Hamas in his speech: "Without military pressure, diplomatic efforts will not work." Cohen came out strongly against international bodies trying to tie Israel's hands and said: "Hamas is a cruel enemy that does not care about human life. Israel must be given a free hand to act against it. Tying Israel's hands against Hamas in Gaza will only tighten the rope around the hands of the captives," Israel reported today.

Cohen also sent a threatening message to Hezbollah Secretary General Nasrallah: "If you continue your war against Israel in the North, you are sealing your fate. I'm telling you now - before it's too late: don't test us. I know this very well: we can reach you, and we will reach you, wherever you hide."

Cohen also said: "Israel thanks our allies and partners who helped us against the Iranian attack, but the time has come to say: Enough is enough. We need a strong international offensive coalition against Iran and it must be pro-active and bring an end to Iran's destructive ambitions."
