Axios reports that Israel has been pressing the United States to get the ICC to back off of issuing arrest warrants against Israeli senior leaders, including Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, for alleged war crimes, including during the current war.

Per Axios reporter Barak Ravid, Prime Minister Netanyahu raised this issue in his latest talk with President Biden, who denied that the US has given the "green light" for such indictments.

Israel has reportedly threatened to retaliate against the Palestinian Authority, which has pushed hard for the ICC to issue such indictments.
