The IDF announced today (Wednesday) that humanitarian trucks carrying aid will be passing through Erez crossing to the northern Gaza Strip, as part of a project to increase aid to Gazan civilians via all possible routes under the direction of COGAT.
According to the IDF, this decision comes after an official cabinet decision to increase aid and extensive engineering efforts to ensure the trucks can arrive safely at their destinations and without war materiel.

Meanwhile, Tzav Tesha activists blocked Allenby Bridge last night (between Monday and Wednesday), preventing hundreds of trucks setting out from Jordan to provide humanitarian aid to Gaza.
Shlomo Sarid, a reservist who recently served in Gaza and joined in on the blockade said: "We are here, at the Allenby bridge. We came in the middle of the night to stop aid to Hamas, to show that we identify with our brothers kidnapped in Gaza. The little we can do to advance their freedom and apply pressure to Hamas - we are doing here and now."
He added that "just as they don't receive humanitarian aid, we will not allow the delivery of aid which goes direct to Hamas."
Despite these efforts, as noted, aid continues to flow into the Gaza Strip from multiple directions via air, land, and sea.
