Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan announced today (Wednesday) that his country has decided to join South Africa's suit against Israel in the International Court of Justice in the Hague, which accuses Israel of committing "genocide" in the war in Gaza. He also said "the two state solution is inevitable."

In a reference to the pro-Palestinian protests on American campuses, he claimed that "the west is also moving closer to our position on Israel and Palestine. This needs to be a warning to countries which support Israel's crimes. We said since the beginning of the crisis that the human tragedy in Gaza would attract responses around the world - and today they're hitting the streets even in countries who support Israel."
