Turkish connection: Police reveal identity of terrorist in this morning's attack

Hassan Sklanan, a 34-year-old tourist from Turkey, is the terrorist behind today's attack at Herod's Gate in Jerusalem. A policeman was moderately injured in the attack, and the terrorist was eliminated on the spot.

Shortly after the stabbing attack that took place today (Tuesday) on Sultan Suleiman Street near Herod's Gate in Jerusalem, it was reported that the terrorist behind the attack was Hassan Sklanan, a 34-year-old tourist from Turkey. A police officer was moderately injured in the stabbing.

According to reports, Sklanan entered Israel from Jordan via the Allenby Bridge yesterday. Police stated that Sklanan was, "eliminated by gunfire from police officers at the scene."

As mentioned, a Border Police officer in his 30s was moderately injured in the attack. Magen David Adom medics provided treatment on the spot, and the officer was taken to the hospital while fully conscious, with stab wounds to his upper body.
