Hours after the terrorist attack near Hebron, soldiers of the 92nd "Samson" Battalion described the moment they thwarted it.

In footage released by the IDF Spokesperson, one of the soldiers said: "We came up for routine guard duty here in the sector. A suspect approached us and we conducted the regular arrest procedure. The moment we began to do so, they opened fire on us from the East. We took cover in a coordinated manner and arrived at the spot of the shooting. A patrol came by which neutralized the first terrorist."

According to him, "Very quickly we closed in on the second terrorist. He took out a knife and we also neutralized him. We will not rest until this sector becomes 100% secure."

As reported earlier, Arab terrorists opened fired on IDF soldiers at the Beit Einun junction on Road 60, north of Kiryat Arba and Hebron. This junction connects the north-south Road 60 and Road 35 which leads to the Tarkumiya checkpoint and Kiryat Gat.

The attack involved two terrorists, one of whom tried to stab a soldier before he was eliminated. The second was also liquidated after he fired at our forces from the Palestinian area towards the junction.
