Suspicion in Hezbollah: "UNIFIL leaking fighters' locations to Israel"

Hezbollah suspects UNIFIL, the military force stationed on behalf of the United Nations in southern Lebanon, of sharing surveillance photos with Israel, thus allowing the IDF to hunt down senior officials.

After Hezbollah announced the death of its 281st operative since the beginning of the war, the Lebanese newspaper Al Akhbar, which has close ties to Hezbollah, reported that officials in the organization suspect UNIFIL of passing on the whereabouts of senior personnel to Israel.

According to the report, sources are claiming that Israel receives information from UNIFIL observation posts and has advanced knowledge on Hezbollah movements in the area.

Yesterday, an IAF strike killed three terrorists including Ismail Yusuf Baz, commander of Hezbollah's coastal sector.

Ismail served as a senior official in Hezbollah's military wing. His current rank was equivalent to that of brigadier general. As part of his position, he was involved in promoting and planning the launching of rockets and anti-tank missiles towards Israeli territory from Lebanon's coastal area. He was also responsible for organizing various terrorist plots against Israel.
