Defense Minister discusses preparations for evacuating civilians ahead of Rafah operation

Per the statement, these preparations are part of the cabinet decision to clear the way for an IDF ground operation.

Defense Minister Gallant met today (Monday) with Defense Ministry Director-General Eyal Zamir and the COGAT commander Ghasan Alyan to discuss the necessary civilian steps to be taken before an IDF operation in Rafah.

The statement from the Defense Ministry stated that this is in line with a cabinet decision to do so, suggesting the government intends to launch an operation despite consistent American and European opposition.
