Following the interim injunction ordering that draft-eligible yeshivah students ceased to be given public funds, the Supreme Court has determined the panel and the date for a full hearing on appeals against the Draft Law.

The Supreme Court will convene on June 2 to discuss the appeal of the Movement for Quality in Government regarding the shared draft burden of Charedi yeshivah students, with the deliberation to take place before a panel of nine justice.

The nine justices on the panel are: Acting President Uzi Fogelman, Yitzhak Amit, Dafna Barak-Erez, David Mintz, Yael Vilner, Ofer Grosskopf, Alex Stein, Gila Kanfi-Steinitz, and Noam Solberg.

Two weeks ago, the Supreme Court issued an interim injunction freezing government support for draft-eligible yeshivah students starting April 1. Earlier, Attorney General Gali Baharv-Miara issued a response to the Supreme Court, wherein she stated that Charedim should begin to be drafted starting March 1 and that support for yeshivahs containing draft-eligible students should be denied after a brief adjustment period.
