Following the IDF strike which killed seven World Central Kitchen members, Defense Minister Gallant has announced a series of steps to prevent such an incident from recurring.
These include the establishment of a joint situation room for coordinating IDF efforts with those of humanitarian organizations, allocating resources to ensure better distribution of aid, and a professional investigation whose results will be provided to relevant countries and organizations.
Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorksi announced on X that he spoke with Foreign Minister Israel Katz today (Tuesday) regarding the deaths of seven World Central Kitchen members, including a Polish citizen, allegedly killed by IDF fire.
Sikorski called for an impartial investigation of the incident, saying that "all Poles were shocked by the death" of the WCK members, who were in the Gaza Strip providing food aid to Gazan civilians.
Hours before this conversation, Katz posted condolences to the countries whose citizens had been killed and promised a proper investigation. The post tagged the foreign ministers/secretaries of the countries whose citizens were killed:
