The media reported this morning (Tuesday) that a rocket fell in an open area near Ramon Airport in Eilat. No injuries or damage were reported. However, shortly afterwards, the airport authority denied the reports and said that there was no fall in the area.

The municipality of Eilat later reported that a hostile aircraft had fallen outside of Eilat, 200 meters from the border on the Jordanian side. There was no alarm in the area, and details of the incident are being investigated.

The IDF spokesperson stated that, "a short time ago, a suspicious aerial target was detected falling outside of Israel's territory from the northeast of Eilat. The event is over and its details are under investigation."

The reports of the rocket's fall come a day after an Iranian drone launched from Iraq managed to penetrate the air defenses and hit an IDF base in the Gulf of Eilat. No injuries were reported, but minor damage was caused to the building. The IDF launched an investigation into the incident.

This is at least the third time that a hostile aircraft has managed to penetrate air defenses in the Eilat area. In the opening days of the war, an unmanned aerial vehicle launched from Yemen hit a school building in Eilat. About two weeks ago, another UAV also launched from Yemen hit an open area north of Eilat.
