Government unanimously approves National Remembrance Day for October 7 Disaster and the war

The event will be held on the 24th of the Hebrew month of Tishrei.

As JFeed reported on Thursday, the government unanimously approved (Sunday) an memorial day for the victims of October 7 and the fallen in the war.

The memorial day will take place on the 24th of the Hebrew month of Tishrei, a few days after its historical occurrence on the Jewish holiday of Simchat Torah. It will involve a ceremony in memory of the fallen in the war at 11:00 AM and one in memory of the massacred at 1:00 PM.

In addition, on a one time basis, the country will mark one year since the massacre on the civil date of October 7.
