Report: Buildings ablaze following IAF strike in Damascus

The Syrian News Agency is reporting an Israeli bombings in the Kfar Sousa neighborhood of Damascus. The area is known for the presence of Iranian security personnel.

Several radio stations in Syria are reporting explosions in the Damascus area. Initial information indicates an Israeli attack in the city.

The official Syrian News Agency confirmed that a civilian building was attacked in the southwestern Damascus neighborhood of Kfar Sousa. It was also reported that Iranian security personnel reside in the area and that this was likely a targeted assassination by the IDF.

"I heard several explosions in the area of Kfar Sousa in the southern area of the Syrian capital, and columns of smoke were seen rising from the area," said one of the reporters at the scene of the attack. "Preliminary information indicates that Israeli aircraft launched several missiles over Syria, and attempted to hit a number of sites in Damascus," he added.

Local residents are reporting extensive destruction to several buildings in the area and claim that they are unable to control the fire that has broken out as a result of the bombing.
