Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah gave a speech today, defiantly rejecting current proposals for ending the conflict on the border and arguing that Hezbollah will not stop until Israel stops the war in Gaza, according to Kan 11 News reporter Roi Kais.

According to Kais, Nasrallah emphasized that neither political carrots such as increased influence in choosing the President of Lebanon, nor sticks in the form of threatened war would deter him.

Regarding the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701, Nasrallah said that the Lebanese leadership should demand things in addition to the implementation of the resolution, which calls for southern Lebanon to be entirely demilitarized aside from the official state army.

Recent reports regarding a proposed solution to the border war pointed to Hezbollah's elite Radwan force withdrawing 10 km from the border and being replaced with 15,000 soldiers of the Lebanese Army.
